It was this day, February 17, 1992, that Pastor Manson B. Johnson of the Holman Street Baptist Church officially announced my calling to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Certainly, these last sixteen (16) years have carried with them many blessings and challenges. Regardless of the circumstances, God has always shown Himself faithful to me and His Word. I am thoroughly grateful to Him.

On September 7, 2004, God made it possible for me to become the pastor of the New Beginning Church. Thank God that He has been with me and has given me faith, favor, family, focus, and friendship over these last 3½ years. Yes, it was God who has called me and entrusted His most precious jewel – the Gospel of Jesus Christ into my hands. I must continue to strive for excellence, keep my focus, and remember my purpose. It is this equation that has brought us this far and this same equation will continue to lead us on.

I am grateful to God for all that He has done, is doing, and will do. I am appreciative of the commitment that has been displayed by every member, visitor, and friend of our church. I am deeply humbled and motivated by the prayers, participation and support of each of you. This says much concerning your convictions to follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. It is my prayer that you continue to strive for excellence and never dwell in mediocrity.

I want to personally thank my beloved wife, Carolyn, and my daughter, Megan, for their unceasing contributions to our church and ministries. Thank you for the consistency you have provided in helping to meet the needs of our church.
